MARIA SALAJAN, NP
Born in Romania, I came to United States in 1990. In 1998 I graduated from LaGuardia Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing and started working at Level one Emergency department in Queens, New York. In 2001 I moved to Arizona and continued my nursing career in a local emergency department. In 2003 I started to work also for local hospice as case manager and continued in both fields until 2019. In my nursing career I’ve seen people experiencing trauma and severe life stressors which help you develop good assessment skills and ability to function under high stress environment. Both fields I found to be incredibly rewarding, I gained valuable professional experience from trauma to palliative and hospice care. In 2018 I graduated from Walden University with a Master’s Degree in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. I joined Arizona Pain Relief in May 2018 as Nurse Practitioner. After almost 19 years in Emergency department and seeing what long term use of opioids can do to patients, I decided to join a team that can make a real and practical difference to the quality of life of patients.
I believe in treating patients narcotic free to restore their full functionality. I’ve also obtained training in Botox and Advanced Fillers from National Laser Institute, Scottsdale in 2015. In my free time I enjoy reading, bike spin, traveling and spending time with my tiny Pomeranian.
